Sunday Hiking

for Fun

and Fitness

Join us beginning Sunday January 31 2010 for some local fun hikes. Get yourself ready for on-water activities when the weather turns warm.

This Sunday's trip (March 7) will be a reprise of last week's trip. Weather is forecast to be outstanding - sunny and in the lower 50s.

We will start out from a parking area on Rte 47, and ascend the shoulder of Mt Holyoke to Taylor's Notch. We will then skirt the base of the mountain and ascend to the summit along the southern slope, then descend back to the parking area on Rte 47. 1pm start.

The parking area is a large and easy to spot area off Rte 47. Coming from south on Rte 47 it will be on your left about .5 mile before the Skinner State Park entrance. From 47. Coming north, you'll pass the park entrance and look for the turnout on your right.

Trails will be wet. Tomorrow afternoon's forecast says possible showers, so be prepared.
